A Reason a Day #34

Soul winning is the primary work of the church.

And the Gospel MUST FIRST BE PUBLISHED among all nations. (Mark 13:10)

The primary role of the Church is not to build schools, or hospitals or orphanages; even though they are all good things. However, none of these is the primary reason for which God raised up the Church.

The Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, has given us clear instructions to GO INTO THE WORLD AND PREACH!

Preaching and teaching is the primary task of churches and ministers; that is what makes the Church relevant.

When we preach and teach, people are saved and their lives are changed. This is our best contribution to society!

A Reason a Day #31

Soul winning is important because it gives vision to a church.

Ministers have a vision when they become soul winners. Businessmen have a vision when they become soul winners. Ordinary Christians have a vision when they become soul winners. Soul winning is the great vision that all churches must have.

Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."

A Reason a Day #29

Soul winning is important because they cannot hear or be saved without a preacher.

Romans 10:14 says, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

JESUS: Friend of sinners

It's so amazing how many events in the New Testament (especially in the life our Lord Jesus Christ) sharply contrast those of the Old. Psalm 1:1 says,"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, nor stand in the way of sinners".

According to the above text, what really showed that a man was 'righteous' how far he could stay away from  ungodly, wicked and sinful men. But let us look at the Master. He was always found among sinners (Matthew 9:9-13; Luke:8, 7:36-39, 19:1-10, John 8:1-11).

Not that He condoned sin. But now, the question is: was Jesus not blessed? He sure was! In fact, He was a blesser (Matthew 19:13-15). Our righteousness and salvation are not complete until we get out there among the sinners and win them for Christ. One way, Jesus Christ must be our message and one job, evangelism must be our passion.

A Reason a Day #21

A REASON A DAY #21
(From Bishop Dag's Tell Them)

You must be a soul winner because that is the reason why Jesus came to the earth.

Luke 19:10 says, "For the Son of man IS COME TO SEEK and to save that which was lost."
