Every human being on the face of this earth is gifted with unique abilities, which God gives for positive impact here on earth.
Our dear Youth Pastor, Rev. Albert Bartlett-Mingle delivered an exposé on 'The Power of Potential' during our Tuesday morning devotion. He reiterated the fact that the graveyard is the richest place on earth. Why? Because people have gone to the grave without expending what God had endowed them with whiles they were here on earth. As such, their potential has contributed to the quality of the graveyard instead of the quality of humanity.
He stressed, "Determine to use what God has put inside you fully here on earth. Don't take your resources to the grave."
We went to Genesis 1:11-12 again. Rev. explained that the seed that is in us is good and it is powerful. If you have a powerful seed, you will not bring forth fruit that is malnourished. He also said that the seed should be of benefit to the world. Inside every seed, there is a forest!
Don't limit it to your small area. You are not a village champion; you're a GLOBAL CHAMPION!
"Successful and unsuccessful people do not differ much in their abilities; they vary in their DESIRE to reach their potential."
Be mindful of the fact that your desire is very important in your quest to use your potential.
Avoid making excuses. If you want to make excuses, you'll always find excuses.
2 important keys:
# Don't limit your vision!
# Don't let that dream die!
Remember, our potential is God's gift to us and what we do with it us our gift to Him.
He finally urged us to pray about our ideas for clarity.
DO!: Have you identified your potential(s) yet? That's vital if you want to use it, in the first place. Write it/them down and talk to God, and find out how best you can use that potential for His glory. Ensure that you DIE EMPTY! Don't give up on your dream, in spite of your difficulties. Millions of people are in need of that investment of God in you! What is preventing you from using your potential? Is it excuses, procrastination, laziness, misplaced priorities? Make a decision to focus and do not be distracted from today.
