You are here for a definite purpose! (Part 2)

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
                                                                                                                    Jeremiah 1:5

In Part 1 of this article, we learnt that God has a specific purpose for all of His creation. We also got to know that God wants us to be original and live unique lives because He made each of us distinctly and specially. in this concluding part, we will learn what it means to really live out the plan of God.

The Scripture continues to say that God set you apart. In other words, He separated you unto Himself for you to carry out that specific function. Understand that when you come into Christ, God makes you into a new person and puts into you the ability to be and do whatever that He has planned for your life. As His child, your foremost mission is to carry out the ministry of reconciliation: 'For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”' (2 Corinthians 5:19-20).That means you're supposed to be on the mission of preaching the Gospel in your world. God has supernaturally equipped you to carry out this mission (Acts 1:8).

Secondarily, you have a definite purpose to carry out. It is necessary for you to discover it. The only One who can make known to you the plan of God for your life is God Himself. And the Bible is your greatest source of knowledge of who God has made you to be. The Holy Spirit, as Jesus said, is your Counsellor. In other words, He is the One who will instruct you from within and teach you How to live and what to do in order to carry out your assignment in the earth. That's why it is necessary for you to cultivate a rich relationship with Jesus by the Holy Spirit who lives within you. Your study of the Word and continuous prayer gets you to know Him more and more and to know what He has in store for your life: 'The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.' (Psalm 25:14, AMP)

So do not lose hope. Be confident about life every day and declare boldly that 'God knows me intimately and he has a definite plan for my life. I know I can fulfil it because the Holy Spirit lives in Me!'
