You are here for a definite purpose! (Part 1)

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
                                                                                                                    Jeremiah 1:5

God created the entire universe and everything in it to function according to His plan. He has a definite plan for everything that He created. In essence, what God demands is that all of His creation will manifest His glory. When anything that God has created performs its ordained responsibility, it shows forth His glory. For example, the Bible says, 'The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.' (Psalm 19:1-6) How do the heavens declare the glory of God? When they do what God had designed them to do! When the sun shines brightly and it gives off light to green plants for photosynthesis, it manifests the glory of God. Hallelujah!

Now, look closely at the opening verse- it says God knew you before He formed you in your mother's womb. David puts it this way: 'You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.' (Psalm 139:13-16). It is very important for you to recognize your uniqueness. God did not make you like another person and therefore He does not intend for you to be like another person or to do what another person does. Your life is original- appreciate the way God has made you and proceed to identify what He has planned for your life.
