You are the light of the world!

 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
                                                                             Matthew 5:14-16

The life of the child of God is a daily walk of expressing God's glory in this earth realm. When you are born again, the totality of the personality of God dwells within you. Jesus declared that you are the light of the world. Essentially, what He was saying was that you are the change that is needed in this world. It is important for you to recognize that in this world, we are the hands and feet of God. The Bible says that Jesus is the head of the Body of Christ- and we are actually the body! So if God wants to do something in this world, He's going to require you to do it. Glory to God! It's indeed an honour and a privilege to know that you are an agent of change.

Wherever you go, you are supposed to express the personality of Christ. When you show up, there's got to be a positive and eternal change in that place. You're a carrier of God's Presence. When God called Abraham, He said, 'I'll make you a blessing.' (Genesis 12:2) The same applies to you today- because you are the seed of Abraham, if you belong to Jesus (Galatians 3:29).

Thus, make it a point to influence the world around you positively with the life of Christ that is in you. Be an example to your peers in your neighbourhood, in your classroom, in your workplace and in your home. Change the world!

The way to do that is by recognizing who you really are. You are not just another ordinary fellow- no! God places a very high value on your life that's why He sent Jesus into this world to die for you. Make an impact with the Gospel- shine forth! Proclaim it everywhere you find yourself. Tell somebody about the love of Jesus!

If it's your assignment you are doing, do it well. Make sure your life is a testimony to the nations of the world. Start from where you are!

And remember that it's important for you to realize that you actually are the light of the world. Let this be your consciousness every day. Confess it every moment and walk in the reality of it.
